Core Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the patient registration and scheduling process for complex patients, updating the system with registration, scheduling, and insurance data, preparing disability and out‑of‑school documentation, discussing financial obligations and explaining regulatory forms, and answering related questions. The position handles multiple patient‑facing systems and telephone call receipts to support accurate registration and clinical workflow. It also supports departmental plans, policies, and initiatives, represents Albany Med, and exemplifies the Albany Med CARES guiding principles. The incumbent is a champion for an optimal patient experience, promotes patient and employee safety, and reports issues promptly.



Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2–3 years of office experience or one year of related experience in a medical practice preferred.

Physical Demands

Working Conditions

Work may involve exposure to extreme cold, rare extreme heat, humidity, wet environments, occasional noise, and occasional hazards.
