Carilion Clinic is seeking a Call Center Scheduler 1 to manage appointment scheduling for a multi-specialty, multi-location practice in Roanoke, VA. The role entails coordinating referrals, entering patient data into the EHR, and ensuring efficient scheduling across multiple systems.

The position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced team, and adherence to scheduling protocols. Compensation is $17.39–$24.35 per hour with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree accepted in lieu of minimum experience.

Responsibilities

• Navigates multiple systems to schedule appointments, tests, and procedures per protocols; offer first available appointment.
• Proficient in scheduling; make, cancel, and reschedule appointments per guidelines; leverage waitlists and recalls.
• Enter demographic and medical information into the EHR; support pre-registration by validating guarantor accounts and insurance.
• Create and manage referrals; update referral shells within required timeframes.
