Job summary

Cedar Point Health is seeking a friendly front desk service representative to help patients; you will schedule visits in the EHR, inform patients of visit requirements, and communicate changes with clinical staff.

The role requires a High School diploma, three years in customer service, excellent phone etiquette, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask under pressure while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Ability to multitask effectively, dealing with phone calls to and from patients, and others in the office in a pleasant manner.

  • Schedules appointments using EHR for patients, makes reminder calls one business day before appointments and maintains the schedule (e.g., cancellations or additions) to ensure accuracy.

  • Ability to analyze situations and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient records.
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Three years of experience in a customer service role.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a service representative that are mostly sedentary with occasional standing, walking, reaching. Daily and repetitive data entry may cause nerve problems unless ergonomic techniques are used. Periodic stress occurs from handling many calls and dealing with patient requests.

The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies, labs, hospitals, nursing homes, and other members of the public on a regular basis.
