Job summary

Tidelands Health is seeking a Patient Scheduler II to pre-register and schedule moderately complex procedures, coordinating resources for patient services. You will ensure patient information is complete for billing and assist with scheduling across departments to maintain efficient operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of customer-facing experience, preferably in healthcare or call-center settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two (2) years of related customer facing experience required.
• Call center, patient scheduling and/or physician front-office experience preferred.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients have information needed to arrive on time and be prepared for procedures.
• Schedule procedures based on department availability and physician requests.
• Provide accurate information for departments to view and print daily schedules and communicate changes.
• Perform general administrative tasks and manage mail and correspondence as needed.

The purpose of this position is to schedule patient appointments for designated areas according to Tidelands Health protocols. Provides courteous, professional and efficient service to patients and providers. Responsible for accurately completing registration process for all patients including collection of co-payments and patient demographic information.What you will doAssures that patients have all the information they need so that they will arrive on time and prepared for their procedures and that the hospital has all the information required to bill properly for its servicesReceives requests to schedule procedures from physician offices and patients and schedules the procedure according to the availability of the various departmentsProvides accurate information so that all departments may view and print the schedule for the appointments daily and maintains open communication with hospital departments regarding schedule changesPerforms various administrative support duties for department/work location.
