Job summary

Providence Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle is seeking a dedicated patient access scheduler to join our Heart Center team.

You will coordinate scheduling for inpatient and outpatient procedures across Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Electrophysiology Lab, ECHO, Vascular and ECG labs and arrange Cardiology Outreach appointments at external sites, ensuring accurate patient details and timely workflows.

Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of a medical terminology course.
  • 2 years of general and specialized office duties.
  • Prior hospital or clinic experience.
  • 1 year of Cardiac and/or Vascular scheduling experience.
  • Preferred: community college/vocational education in medical assisting and/or office/secretarial subjects such as English, typing, word processing, computer skills, office machines.
  • 1 year of Diagnostic Imaging scheduling experience.
  • 1 year of EPIC-Hospital Computer Information System scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule inpatient and outpatient procedures across Cath Lab, IR, Nuclear Cardiology, EP Lab, ECHO, Vascular and ECG labs.
  • Schedule Cardiology Outreach appointments at external sites.
  • Maintain accurate patient information and ensure timely workflows.

Description

This position is responsible for scheduling inpatient and outpatient procedures in the Heart Center Diagnostic Service areas, specifically for the Cath lab, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Electrophysiology lab, ECHO lab, Vascular and ECG lab. The procedures are ordered from physicians and their offices. This position also schedules patient appointments for the Cardiology Outreach sites, including cardiologist's consultation appointments and procedures that are performed at the outside clinic locations. This position is accountable for accurate patient information.

Required Qualifications:
