The role collaborates with clinical leaders, Mission Partners, and interdisciplinary teams to identify risks and sustain safety improvements in care delivery. This is a salaried, full-time position with 5 openings across units.

Expected pay for this position is $36.04 - $42.40/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Safety Specialist supports the implementation and sustainment of a comprehensive patient safety program at the operating unit level. This role is responsible for monitoring safety events, identifying trends, supporting action plan execution, and promoting a culture of safety through frontline engagement, education, and participation in safety activities. The Patient Safety Specialist works collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders, Mission Partners, and interdisciplinary teams to support proactive identification of risks, ensure follow-through on safety improvement efforts, and enhance reliability in care delivery.

Associate degree
2 years of healthcare experience including past participation in quality and safety committee, project work, or responsibility in investigating safety events
Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: Experience with event reporting systems and safety investigations
Licensure/ Certification: Active RN license, current state license in field of study, Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
