Job summary

Qualifications

• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians and others.
• Able to remain calm under stress and follow instructions.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to infectious agents and hazardous materials in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct continual observation of patients requiring special precautions to ensure a safe environment.
• Remain with the assigned patient at all times during the shift.
• Assist RN to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Demonstrate professional behavior in conflicts and use appropriate resources as needed.
• Support patient-centered care delivery as the foundation of nursing care.
