Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience as a patient sitter or similar role.
• BCLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Ability to maintain continuous patient observation and report safety concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

• Observes and monitors assigned patients to ensure safety per hospital policies.
• Maintains continuous visual observation of the patient at all times.
• Reports safety hazards or changes in patient condition to the RN immediately.
• Adheres to infection control, HIPAA, and privacy standards.
• Assists with non-clinical tasks to reduce patient anxiety and restlessness.
