Job summary

Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, North Carolina, part of Mission Health and a proud member of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Patient Safety Attendant to provide continuous observation for high-risk patients and help maintain a safe environment.

The PSA collaborates with the care team, documents activities, protects patient privacy, and supports compassionate care, with a Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days and 1+ year healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Required License: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Preferred Experience: 1+ years in a healthcare setting

• Identifying risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alerting the care team to intervene quickly and protect patients
• Documenting patient activity and changes with accuracy and clarity throughout your shift

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) participates in high-quality, patient-centered care by providing continuous observation and monitoring for high-risk patients. In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSA ensures the patient environment is free of obstacles and minimizes risk of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm. The PSA may also assist with basic activities of daily living.
