McLaren Health Care seeks a Patient Safety Associate for its Nursing Float Pool to provide close observation of at-risk patients and assist with daily living activities under the supervision of an RN.
Responsibilities include receiving reports, staying at the bedside, and maintaining a safe environment while communicating professionally with patients and care teams. Shifts run 7:00am–7:30pm with on-site duties and collaboration across units.

Position Summary: Under the supervision of an RN, provides close, continuous observation of patients who may be at risk for adverse events such as falls, self-injury or harm to others.Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Provides assistance with activities of daily living, unless the patient needs are such that adverse health consequences are predictable.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:
5. Provides for patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.Maintains patient environment in a safe and orderly manner.
6. Functions cooperatively as a team member.Responds as directed by responsible nurse to changing patients'/unit's needs.During a patient or environmental emergency, may serve as a runner or transport patients as directed.
8. Accurately and legibly records data collected and notifies RN of any untoward events, i.e., behavioral changes, violent behavior, etc.
9. Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Qualifications:
Required
Preferred:
High school diploma or GED.
One year related experience.
