Patient Safety Assistant
The Patient Safety Assistant (PSA) provides continuous observation of patients who require close monitoring due to medical, behavioral, or safety concerns. Working under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), the PSA promotes a safe environment by maintaining constant observation, identifying and communicating changes in patient behavior or condition, and supporting established safety interventions. The PSA helps ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff while adhering to Bay Area Hospital's mission, vision, values, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
