Job summary

The Patient Account Supervisor - Special Self-Pay Team oversees mail processing and patient account support within Guidehouse's revenue cycle in Birmingham, Alabama. This role leads a team, ensures efficient workflows, and delivers high-quality service to patients while supporting hospital and managed services operations.

You will monitor performance, implement process improvements, provide feedback, and manage staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma with 5+ years in patient relations, access, medical billing, or customer service.
• Minimum 2+ years of people management experience (scheduling, performance reviews, training).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily mail processing and patient account support in the revenue cycle.
• Supervise staff, monitor workflows, and ensure timely processing and resolution.
• Develop process improvements to increase efficiency, quality and satisfaction.
• Provide monthly staff performance reviews and coaching.
• Serve as escalation resource for complex patient concerns and disputes.
