Job summary

CareNow Urgent Care, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Representative. You will greet and check-in patients, answer calls, verify insurance, and support the occupational client’s procedures.

This PRN role requires 1 year of clinical experience preferred and BLS within 30 days. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team, with flexible hours to cover shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start is required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work with multiple computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Checks-in patients in a timely manner and follows Web Check-in procedures.
• Answers clinic phone calls and provides information or routes questions.
• Verifies insurance in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures occupational client’s preference card is followed and procedures are adhered to.
• Reviews patient paperwork for completeness and collects insurance/demographic information.
• Completes Daily Balance Checklist after each shift with all forms of payment documented.

This position is incentive eligible. Hourly Wage Estimate: $15.86 - $22.99 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical wage range of candidates hired. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Patient Care Representative like you who provides expertise and is a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• Checks-in patients in a timely manner. Ensures all Web Check-in procedures are followed
• Answers phone calls to the clinic and provides information or refers questions to others as needed
• Verifies insurance timely and accurately
• Ensures the occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures
• Reviews all patient paperwork to ensure completeness and insures collection of necessary insurance / demographic information
• Completes Daily Balance Checklist after each shift. Includes all forms of payment are accounted for and documented

The CareNow Urgent Care Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8am-9pm, Saturdays 8am-8pm, and Sundays 8am-5pm. You must have the flexibility to work during those hours.
