Job summary

CareNow - Pawleys Island Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Patient Care Representative PRN to support patient check-in, insurance verification, and front-desk duties. This role emphasizes accurate data collection and excellent customer service in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

You will handle phone inquiries, verify insurance, and ensure all paperwork is complete while following facility procedures. A supportive team environment and opportunities for growth are highlighted.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• BLS certification within 30 days of start is required
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work with multiple computer programs

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients in a timely manner and follow Web Check-in procedures
• Answer clinic phone calls and route questions as needed
• Verify insurance timely and accurately
• Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed
• Review patient paperwork for completeness and collect necessary insurance/demographic information
• Complete Daily Balance Checklist after each shift and document all payment forms

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Checks-in patients in a timely manner . Ensures all Web Check-in procedures are followed

• Answers phone calls to the clinic and provides information or refers questions to others as needed

• Verifies insurance timely and accurately

• Ensures the occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures

• Reviews all patient paperwork to ensure completeness and insures collection of necessary insurance / demographic information

• Completes Daily Balance Checklist after each shift. Includes all forms of payment are accounted for and documented

What Qualifications you will need:

• 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred

• Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of start required
