Job summary

CareNow - Olathe - West, part of the nation’s leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Representative PRN to join the team. The role supports patient check-in and front-desk operations in a busy urgent care setting.

The position requires strong customer service, ability to use multiple computer programs, and BLS certification within 30 days of start. PRN status means as-needed shifts to balance clinic coverage.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work with multiple computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Checks-in patients in a timely manner and follows Web Check-in procedures.
• Answers clinic phone calls and provides information or referrals as needed.
• Verifies insurance in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures the occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures.
• Reviews patient paperwork for completeness and collects insurance/demographic information.
• Completes Daily Balance Checklist after each shift with all forms of payment documented.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Checks-in patients in a timely manner. Ensures all Web Check-in procedures are followed
• Answers phone calls to the clinic and provides information or refers questions to others as needed
• Verifies insurance timely and accurately
• Ensures the occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures
• Reviews all patient paperwork to ensure completeness and insures collection of necessary insurance / demographic information
• Completes Daily Balance Checklist after each shift. Includes all forms of payment are accounted for and documented

What Qualifications you will need:

• 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred
• Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of start required
