Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Representative (PRN) at our Burleson, TX clinic to support patient check-in, scheduling, and communications. You will verify insurance, assist with demographics, and coordinate with clinical staff.

The PRN status offers flexible shift coverage as needed. Ideal candidates have clinical experience and are able to work with multiple computer programs; BLS within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start required
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work with multiple computer programs

Responsibilities

• Checks-in patients in a timely manner and follows Web Check-in procedures
• Answers clinic phone calls and provides information or routes questions
• Verifies insurance timely and accurately
• Ensures occupational client’s preference card and procedures are followed
• Reviews patient paperwork to ensure completeness and collect insurance/demographic information
• Completes Daily Balance Checklist after each shift with all payment forms accounted for

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Checks-in patients in a timely manner. Ensures all Web Check-in procedures are followed
• Answers phone calls to the clinic and provides information or refers questions to others as needed
• Verifies insurance timely and accurately
• Ensures the occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures
• Reviews all patient paperwork to ensure completeness and insures collection of necessary insurance / demographic information
• Completes Daily Balance Checklist after each shift. Includes all forms of payment are accounted for and documented

What Qualifications you will need:

• 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred
• Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of start required
