Job summary

Memorial Health System in Marietta, OH, is seeking a Registration Receptionist to support daily operations of the medical practice. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect copays, and keep patient records up to date.

You will verify insurance, apply daily cash reports, and assist with basic office duties while protecting patient confidentiality and adhering to MHS Standards of Excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant medical office experience.
• 2 years in a medical practice environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives and directs phone calls and serves as receptionist for the department.
• Answer telephone according to etiquette guidelines and take messages.
• Schedule appointments and maintain patient records and logs.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays and payments upfront.
• Refer accounts to financial counselors as needed and reconcile daily cash reports.
• Enter and verify patient data in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Maintain confidentiality and follow privacy standards at all times.
• Demonstrate AIDET when registering patients.
