Job summary

Providence Swedish in Seattle seeks a Patient Registration coordinator to support the Medical Center and Emergency Department. You will perform front-line reception, interview patients, collect demographics and financial data, and guide patients through consents and billing inquiries.

You will be the POS team expert ensuring timely, accurate patient information flow and coordinating with Physician Offices. The role requires flexibility with shifts and a patient-focused approach to care.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient registration or financial counseling roles.
• Ability to interview patients and collect demographic and financial data.
• Familiarity with insurance concepts and hospital billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and front-line registration for the Medical Center and ED.
• Interview patients and families to obtain demographics and financial data; obtain consents.
• Assist patients with financial aid applications and insurance questions; redirect for coverage options.
• Serve as POS team expert to support accurate patient information flow and coordination with physicians.
