Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker in Dallas to support hospital dietary services. You will handle patient trays, deliver nourishments, and liaise with Nursing and Food & Nutrition Services to ensure accurate diet orders and patient comfort.

You will help communicate patient food needs, maintain sanitation, and assist clinical staff in meeting nutrition requirements, with potential physical demands as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • This role may require lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended standing.
  • Experience in food service or patient-facing roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service and delivers nourishments as ordered.
  • Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
  • Communicate all patient food needs to the department.
  • Ensures that diet orders are followed and menu selections are provided.
  • Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules; performs related tasks.
  • Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
  • Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
  • Understands therapeutic diets and consults supervisor if errors are observed.
  • Assists clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition needs.
