Job summary

St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea is seeking a Part Time Food Service Worker to support patient meals and hospital operations with rotating shifts, including every other weekend.

You will be trained to work in each station within the cafeteria, kitchen and dish room, delivering meals and maintaining cleanliness across stations. You will be trained to work in each station within the cafeteria, kitchen and dish room, delivering meals, restocking supplies, and ensuring service areas stay clean.

Qualifications

• Some prior food service experience is preferred.
• Must possess the ability to read and write, basic math skills are helpful

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals, supplies, and equipment to other departments of the hospital
• Prepares the dish room for washing service ware
• Assembles all items needed to run room service
• Serves patient breakfast, lunch and dinner meals
• Cleans work station after meals served
• Retrieves patient meal carts, disassembles, washes dishes, and restocks
• Completes shift end cleaning assignments, checks out with supervisor
