Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, AZ seeks a Nutrition Technician to support the diet office by editing patient menus, tallying daily menu counts, and preparing production sheets. You may lead tray assembly and ensure menu compliance while delivering premier patient service.

You will assist with patient requests, coordinate with dietary staff, and may assume lead responsibility in absence of a supervisor, especially during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Understanding of nutrition services, modified diets, and portion measures; typically gained through 3 years of related experience or education.
• Ability to lead assignments and coordinate staff in the absence of supervision; proficient with computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients to discuss menu selections and ensure diet accuracy.
• Edit patient menus, tally daily items, and prepare production sheets.
• Lead tray assembly and ensure menu compliance; assist with patient meals as needed.
• Provide courteous service and communicate patient requests to dietary staff.
• May assume lead responsibility in the absence of a supervisor, including evening/weekend shifts.
