Job summary

Whatsupstateny is seeking a Patient Ambassador to support hospital operations by cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, adhering to infection control procedures, and using appropriate chemicals. You will interact with patients and staff to maintain a clean, safe environment.

This role includes floor care tasks if qualified, inventory management for linen and supplies, and following the department's 10 Step Cleaning method.

Qualifications

• Accountability in daily tasks and patient interactions.
• Attention to detail in cleaning, inventory, and records.
• Strong customer service and listening skills for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and staff while cleaning and sanitizing areas.
• Follow infection control procedures and 10 Step Cleaning method.
• Perform floor care tasks (burnishing, stripping, finishing) if qualified.
• Maintain linen levels and coordinate with units to ensure par levels.
• Manage inventory in carts, exchange carts, and receive items via invoices.
• Present yourself professionally and adhere to department standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
