Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Montefiore Hospital, and UPMC Shadyside are hiring Food Service Attendants to support patient services. Opportunities include full time, flex full time, part time, and casual positions through the Energy Innovation Institute.

Roles require availability on holidays and weekends, with shifts from 5:00am to 8:30pm. COVID-19 vaccination is required, and staff will follow HACCP and infection control standards to serve patients and guests.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate food service equipment.
• Adhere to HACCP principles and infection control procedures.
• Serve meals according to diet orders, menus and patient/guest requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
• Flexibility to work holidays and weekends with open availability.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department procedures for operating food service equipment.
• Practices hand hygiene and infection control when interacting with customers.
• Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders and patient requirements.
• Ensures necessary food and service equipment/utensils are available before meal service.
• Inventories and stocks bulk supplies following procedures and schedules.
• Maintains food safety and quality by applying HACCP principles during service.
• Serves patient trays with correct patient identification and scripts.
• Performs sanitation for assigned work areas per departmental guidelines.
