Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to clean and service guest, patient, public, clinical and administrative areas, maintaining a clean and aseptic environment.

This role requires English literacy, reliability, and the ability to operate ES equipment. You will support cafe restocks, assist with room turnover and special cleaning projects while adhering to health care regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak/understand English to follow instructions and daily tasks.
• Experience operating environmental services equipment such as dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles and dustpan.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning and cleaning supplies/equipment.
• Flexible schedule availability when needed.
• Ability to listen and take direction and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintains Environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Assists with restock of cafe and bar (where necessary).
• Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows all current Joint Commission / CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
