The Patient Experience Aide role provides support to the patient care team by providing constant observation, monitoring, feeding assistance, and related duties. Feeding assistance includes preparing food for patient consumption, unwrapping food, and maintaining cleanliness throughout meals. The patient\'s mouth will be checked before offering more food or fluids, and the food tray returned to the cart when finished. Mobility assistance for assigned patients is used to ensure safety and injury prevention. Ambulation may involve assistive devices (walker, cane) as needed, with walking distance and speed determined by patient tolerance. The role includes one-on-one direct, continuous observation for injury prevention of high-risk patients. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with department policies and procedures, the caregiver remains in the patient\'s line of vision at all times and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure prompt intervention to prevent physical harm and support patient safety and comfort.
