Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle prescription order entry and adjudication for centralized specialty/home delivery prescriptions.
• Coordinate delivery with patients and caregivers and resolve issues with insurance claims.
• Navigate dispensing software to perform administrative tasks and ensure timely processing of prescriptions.
• Serve as primary contact with patients for medication fulfillment and escalate clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Assist in training new staff and participate in team meetings.
• Escalate unresolved problems to a pharmacist or manager when needed.

SummaryThe Patient Engagement Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for prescription order entry, insurance processing, and patient outreach to coordinate prescription fulfillment and delivery.The Patient Engagement Pharmacy Technician I will work in a large volume centralized specialty and mail order pharmacy call center setting under pharmacist supervision.This position plays a key role in pharmacy operations providing excellent service through high quality performance and care. The Patient Engagement Pharmacy Technician I functions in a multi-skilled environment which requires the application of teamwork, leadership and flexibility.
