Qualifications

• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers.

• Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required.
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free workplace, including knowledge of emergency codes.
• OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper PPE.
• Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Checks NPO status with Nursing, admissions, and menus for patients prior to meals.
• Enters meal orders and delivers trays; reads menus to patients as needed.
• Communicates with nursing and dietitians regarding patient needs and concerns.
• Organizes and cleans patient refrigerators and reports issues to Diet Office.
• Collects dirty trays and coordinates dishroom workflow.
• Assembles and delivers floor stock orders; follows food safety guidelines.
• Delivers meals promptly, monitors delays, ensures trays are covered, and pours hot beverages with care.
• Cleans unit kitchen and ensures items are labeled, wrapped, and dated.
• Follows isolation precautions and coordinates menus with families when needed.
