Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a patient food service assistant to support patient meal service on assigned units, working part-time with rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30a-6:30p, 6:30a-2:30p, or 2:30p-10:00p).

You will communicate patient food issues to Food & Nutrition Services and collaborate with Nursing to meet nutrition needs, while ensuring timely service and adherence to dietary restrictions and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school degree required.
• Certified Food Service Handler's Card may be required by local Health Department.
• Assist dietitian with patient meals and monitor intake on various diets.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient meal service on assigned units.
• Communicate patient food issues to Food & Nutrition Services and Nursing regarding nutrition needs.
