Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• Knowledge of food service lines set-up and temperature requirements.
• Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods.
• Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks with daily meal preparation, including cutting, peeling, slicing, salads, desserts, and plating.
• Take customer orders, accommodate special requests, and serve meals promptly and accurately.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen equipment while following sanitation practices.
• Follow all food safety standards to ensure safe food handling and serving.
• Work with cooks and team members to keep daily operations running smoothly.
