Job summary

Unidine is hiring immediately for a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, OH. The role involves assisting patients with menu selections, assembling meals, and delivering trays while ensuring safety and caloric requirements are met.

Shifts are 12 hours, with weekends and some holidays rotating. Ideal candidates have prior customer service and food service experience in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Complies with federal, state and JCAHO standards; adheres to HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining sanitation.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as outlined by Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
