  • We are hiring immediately for full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE DIETARY AIDE positions.
  • Location: Hendrick Health South - 6250 Highway 82-84, Abilene, TX 79606 Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full-time schedule. Days and hours may vary. 12-hour shifts working 2 and a 1/2 days per week. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: No experience necessary. Willing to train!
  • Pay Range: $15.00 to $15.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on healthcare units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are key to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with menu choices, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
  • Coordinate with caregivers and culinary staff to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
  • Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately, and retrieve trays from patient rooms.
  • Follow regulatory standards, confidentiality policies, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines, infection control policies, and sanitation regulations.
  • Support dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets or calorie counts.
  • Report problems or concerns promptly and complete required documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
