Compass Group seeks a Patient Dining Associate / Dietary Aide at a healthcare facility in Green Bay, WI. Full-time or part-time with shifts from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM and rotating weekends. Duties include guiding patient menu selections, assembling and delivering meals, and ensuring accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities cover collaboration with nursing and culinary teams, adherence to HACCP, HIPAA, and infection control, plus reporting and support for dietitians as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills required.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and collaborate with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and the culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences, or when a patient requests additional selections.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO, and follow confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down the patient tray line.
• Adhere to facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians by helping monitor patients who cannot eat orally, are on liquid diets, or require a specific calorie count.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients and appropriate personnel in a timely manner following department procedures.
• Complete all required daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Location: HSHS St. Mary's Medical Center, 1726 Shawano Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54303. Schedule: full‑time or part‑time; days may vary from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM with rotating weekends required. Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, helping patients make menu selections, assembling, delivering, and picking up meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team and are responsible for ensuring patient safety and satisfaction by delivering accurate meals at the right time and temperature.
