Job summary

Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery seeks a Patient Representative to greet patients, manage check-ins/outs, and coordinate with medical staff. This in-person role emphasizes accurate scheduling, billing duties, and maintaining confidentiality in a busy clinic.

You will handle calls, assist with documents and records, and support daily operations while ensuring patient comfort and compliance with HIPAA and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in customer service or clinical environment preferred.
• Knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation to interpret and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and determine the purpose of their visit.
• Operate the telephone; answer, screen, forward calls; schedule appointments.
• Check patients in and out and receive payments for services.
• Perform administrative tasks with patient records, reports and schedules.
• Keep lobby and work area neat and orderly.
• Follow company policies and protect PII in line with HIPAA laws.
• Adhere to safety practices; perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet expectations described in company policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional decorum at all times.
