Job summary

AVP•SEES Group is seeking a Patient Communication Representative to serve as the first point of contact for our practices. You will greet callers, schedule appointments, verify records, and collect payments with a courteous, professional demeanor.

You will handle registrations, verify personal and insurance information, and help ensure accurate records. The role emphasizes empathy, clear communication, and excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in handling customer and patient interactions with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and listening skills to resolve inquiries.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls on a multi-line system with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Register patients by phone and verify records for accuracy.
  • Verify insurance information for services and procedures.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments and procedures.
  • Collect and process payments from patients.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance as required.
  • Assist management with additional tasks as needed.

About the Role

As a Patient Communication Representative, you will serve as the first line of contact for our community with our practices. You will play a key role in ensuring that patients are greeted on the phone with a kind, courteous, and professional demeanor. You help patients with smooth scheduling. You strive to master the art of great customer service and patient interaction.

What You’ll Do
  • Answer incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, responds to inquiries, and makes outbound calls to patients promptly and courteously
  • Register patients over the phone and verifies patients’ records are up-to-date and accurate
  • Verify personal and insurance information for services and procedures
  • Schedule appointments and procedures
  • Reschedule missed appointments and cancellations
  • Collect and process payments from patients
  • Complete other functions as requested by management
