Job summary

Walgreens is transforming pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you’ll interact with customers and build strong patient relationships, gaining training through an ASHP & Department of Labor recognized program.

You’ll become a certified pharmacy technician (PTCB) with ongoing development and support from Walgreens. The role emphasizes customer experience, adherence to policy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in pharmacy duties.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems; support cashiers.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers, assist with products and services, and resolve issues.
• Support inventory management and ordering processes.
• Assist with clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers.
