Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles toward patient-centered care. This position offers hands-on patient interaction, training and a path toward PTCB certification through an apprenticeship program recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will support dispensing, documentation, and customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy systems.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and patients, greeting them and offering assistance to ensure a positive experience.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing, entering patient and drug information, and maintaining workflow.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow quality procedures.
• Handle cash register responsibilities and assist customers to locate products.
• Support inventory management and coordination with clinical services as needed.
