Job summary

UPMC Hanover is seeking a housekeeping professional for a casual, on-site role in a hospital setting. The position covers cleaning patient rooms, public areas, and offices, with duties including bed-making, supply replenishment, and equipment maintenance.

You will follow established procedures and safety regulations while interacting with patients and staff. This role emphasizes attention to cleanliness, customer service, and reliability, with shift timing 2:30pm–11:00pm on alternating weekends

Qualifications

  • Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Make beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
  • Inspect and ensure areas are clean and in good repair; report problems.
  • Replenish supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap) in assigned areas.
  • Clean all assigned areas following established procedures.
  • Maintain equipment in clean, working condition and report issues.
  • Remove trash from all assigned areas.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Move equipment, furniture, and wash walls as directed.
