Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and ability to work with diverse patients.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts and appropriate delegation.
• Knowledge of patient assessment, care planning, and discharge planning.
• Basic Life Support certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, families and staff to deliver patient-centered care in line with Jefferson Health values.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and clinical expertise to deliver optimal healthcare.
• Partners with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide patient education.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error and support ethical decision making.
• Participates in hospital and practice setting committees focusing on safety and quality improvement.
• Demonstrates willingness to give and receive feedback and acts as a preceptor for staff.
