Responsibilities

• Provide timely responses to the needs of customers including patients, families, co-workers and physicians.
• Collaborate with patients, families and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Regularly assess and record vital signs to monitor patient status.
• Document medical history, symptoms and current health status.
• Administer medications according to orders and protocols.
• Deliver nursing care and use nursing techniques appropriate to patient needs.
• Maintain patient records and nursing plans of care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatment options.
• Respond to medical emergencies with first aid and interventions when needed.
• Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Use and maintain medical equipment (monitors, IV pumps, ventilators).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and best practices development.
