Job summary

Dignity Health's Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support all aspects of healthcare foodservice operations. You will work with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care and demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, guests and staff.

Daily responsibilities include ensuring food safety and cleanliness, assisting with meal service, and responding to dietary questions.

Qualifications

One year of food service or customer service experience.
Arizona Food Handler Permit or Arizona ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire.
High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
Cashier experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Follows healthcare foodservice industry standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes.
Prepares and serves food within guidelines of menu & dietary requirements using required kitchen utensils and equipment.
Maintains knowledge of recipe ingredients to respond to food allergy questions or requests.
Follows organizational standards and guidelines for a high quality patient and customer experience. Ensures proper meal portioning and an aesthetically pleasing presentation.
Supports team members in all areas of food services including cashier, retail, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage and food prep, etc.
