Job summary

Swope Health Services in Belton Clinic seeks a Medical Assistant to join a team delivering patient-centered care. You will receive and prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, collect medical and social history, and support the provider during visits.

Under supervision, you will enter data into the electronic health record and perform routine procedures such as medication administration and diagnostic tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Certification by NRCMA, RMA, CMA, NCMA or CCMA required or eligible.
• If not certified, 2 years of relevant experience may substitute certification.
• If not graduated, 5 years of experience may substitute for certification.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to work well with staff, visitors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments.
• Take vital signs and collect medical and social history.
• Assist the provider with examinations and treatments; enter data into the EHR.
• Perform general medical services such as medication administration and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures under supervision.
