Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and MA program graduation or military medical training.
• Experience with computer programs used for patient check-in and scheduling.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains hospital standards of zero tolerance for mislabeled specimens and collects laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol
• Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies
• Assists in patient/equipment preparation
• Performs follow-up actions as directed
• Completes hospital forms per protocol
