Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Some commercial laundry experience is preferred. On the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Guides articles into ironer, straightening edges, smoothing out wrinkles as it is drawn into the machine.
• Separates torn, stained and other imperfect articles.
• Loads and unloads dryers. Folds, counts, stack dry articles on shelves or linen carts to be transported.
• Transports linen carts to the floors and other areas.
• Weights carts and keeps records of such linen weight.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, polices, and procedures.
