Ethan’s Crossing is seeking a compassionate Cook to prepare nutritious, patient-centered meals in a behavioral health setting. You’ll follow standardized recipes, accommodate dietary and cultural needs, and support safe, nutritious meal service.

This PRN role offers flexible shifts, opportunities to collaborate with Diet Aides, maintain safety logs, and contribute to a recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience; healthcare setting preferred.
• ServSafe or equivalent food-safety certification preferred.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
• Able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold items according to patient diet orders.
• Follow food safety procedures and maintain temperature logs.
• Collaborate with Dietary Aides for tray assembly and timely delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.
• Assist with inventory and ordering as needed.
• Flex between units and shifts to meet staffing needs.
• Learn new menus and procedures while maintaining quality.
• Build rapport with patients and team in a recovery-focused setting.
