Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA license in state of practice may be required.
• ECG/EEG interpretation training or course completion with 85%+ on ECG/EEG.
• 1 year medical clerical experience; hospital or physician office preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; medical terminology and keyboarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the plan of care.
• Collect and document patient data in the medical records.
• Support unit operations and assist with daily activities and ADLs.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to ensure efficient department flow.
• Transcribe and process physician orders in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain supplies and assist with patient specimens as directed.
• Report changes in patient health status to licensed professionals.
