Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to assist in providing supportive patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff. The role includes facilitating unit operations, clerical duties, stocking, ordering and transporting, while upholding Service Excellence at all times.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, an active Florida CNA license (or nursing program), completion of a unit secretary course, and current BLS

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Current License as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Completion of an approved nursing/medical assistant course, or currently attending an approved nursing program (RN/LPN).
• Completion of an approved Unit Secretary course.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with unit operations including clerical tasks, stocking, ordering and transporting.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times; perform other duties as assigned.

Education
