• Organizes patient records including charts, physician orders, admissions, transfers, and discharge duties.
• Identifies and communicates patient data to interdisciplinary team.
• Understands and ensures proper storage and safety of medications (e.g., IVs, alcohol, saline, prepackaged kits).
• Respects confidentiality of patient records and facility operations.
• Recognizes problems, proposes solutions, and participates in implementation as a healthcare team member.
• Answers and directs incoming calls and sorts mail/faxes.
• Assists in managing patient flow, bed coordination and discharge.
• Other duties as assigned.
