UofL Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant/Unit Coordinator to support clinical staff with essential patient care tasks and clerical duties. The role emphasizes accurate transcription of orders, proper chart management, and timely communication across the unit.

Responsibilities include assembling records, setting up admission charts, routing messages, and assisting with patient mobility, hygiene, and basic care needs under licensed nursing personnel.

Mansioni

• Transcribes and computes physician orders, department orders and messages accurately.
• Assembles patient medical records and maintains order of records within the chart.
• Sets up admission charts and disassembles discharged charts, checking for completeness.
• Handles desk communications promptly, routing messages to the appropriate person.
• Replaces forms in patient medical records and enters charged items.
• Transports patients, lab work, specimens, and blood as needed.
• Performs and documents point-of-care testing and vital signs.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
