Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in patient care areas. You will prepare rooms, orient patients, transfer and assist with daily tasks while ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Must be able to communicate well in English and demonstrate compassion and confidentiality. Required: High school diploma, BLS/CPR, and preferred CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms for new admissions and orient patients to rooms.
• Transfer patients between beds with assistance.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and weights in EMR.
• Collect and label specimens and send to lab.
• Respond to patient call lights and address needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean patient environment.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as ordered.
