University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Geriatric Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision. The role includes taking vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring patients after surgical procedures.
Responsibilities include observing and documenting patient data, communicating observations to the nursing team, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care group to ensure quality outcomes.
Under the direction of professional nursing staff, provides direct patient care. Takes care of patients having a surgical procedure, vital signs, checks surgical dressings, aids patients with activities of daily living. Observes and collects data and communicates about the patient’s status in order to identify needs and provides needed care. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care services team.
